Fashion Fashion!

This past week was New York Fashion Week, showcasing fall 2011. There were a lot of amazing colours, fabric and silhouettes.
Max Azria's line for BCBG had great pieces that you could layer, as well as mix and match. The main idea worked with silk dresses layered with sheer turtlenecks and knee high stacked heeled boots. Over all there were clean lines and bold colours and very minimal line. The only concerning question for this collection is that are customers ready for the sleek minimal style yet again? I myself love the line and the simplicity of it. It's just a matter of time to see if everyone else is on board.

Dramatic dresses with feathers were back again courtesy of Jason Wu. He had yet another amazing show with great tailoring and lots of lace. The collection had a nice romantic feel with ladylike dresses and amazing gowns.

Of course to kick of ffashion week was the always charming Christian Siriano. He had a great show with some awesome cocktail dresses and gowns. The models seemed to be having some troubles walking the runway that day though. There was a great dresses and colours with lovely olive greens.

And how can we not talk about Mr. Isaac Mizrahi with his sugary fun filled show. Poodles walked alongside the models and were dyed to match the dresses along with beautiful cakes that also followed in suit with the dresses. There were bright bold colours and amazing structured dresses and clothes.

It was an amazing week to be had by all and now we will be moving on to London next to continue with fashion month!

SAG Awards 2011

Last weekend was the Screen Actors Guild awards, or better known as the SAG awards. There were tons of great winners and more important, tons of great fashion. Starting with Natalie Portman in Azzaro and Tiffany's jewelry.

Now the next big thing will be the Oscars and the start of New York Fashion Week! I'm rather excited to see the next new trends for the coming seasons.
